Well we've just got back from that pantomime it was great, there was one disadvantage though: we came on the wrong day. So we had to have our seats switched to the circle instead of the stalls. I was fine, though. We all were. The show was really great, especially Richard Cadell he was so funny, it's no wonder he's taken over Worldwide Sooty now

I watched Dishing Up Trouble again this morning, I literally couldn't stop smiling all the way through. I'd have to say that that episode is one of their best episodes ever made, well done again lads I'm glad to hear there is a Series 22 as well
Re: Series 21 Discussion « Result #3 Yesterday at 5:35pm »
Yes I noticed Brian hadn't been in this series as well, and Jimmy was only in one episode. Overall, I thought this was quite a good series, my favourite episode was Dishing Up Trouble and all the rest were OK although I didn't really like See How They Run. Glad to hear there will be a series 22 .

Yes I noticed that Brian hasn't shown up at all this series either, Chris, now you've mentioned it I didn't watch See How They Run because I thought about the reviews here that members have posted, I watched all the rest though and they were great, skipping out on one episode obviously isn't going to make any difference lol so overall I thought Series 21 was probably the best Series yet to be honest Well done lads

Would love to hear what our other members thought of Series 21 as a whole.
For me, it continued the level of quality set by Series 20: 3 excellent episodes with a traditional feel (Top of the Cops, In a State Agents, Dishing Up Trouble) and 3 that were just "OK" with more modern stories (Prank'd, Cops and Jobbers, See How the Run). As long as they continue to balance out these two very different styles of ChuckleVision, I'll be looking forward to see what they come up with next year.

Re: Happy New Year Everyone!! « Result #6 Yesterday at 10:56am »
6 sleeps to go for this now lol What's everyone doing for New Year, then? Every New Year's Eve down our road all the kids come out and set massive fireworks off and clang frying pans and saucepans together and yell at the tops of their voices hehe. No wonder both me and Mum can't get to sleep before the clock strikes 12 even though Mum normally goes to bed before midnight like I said somewhere before; I'm normally up until all the fireworks and the screaming children have stopped but I'm normally in Mum's room chatting to her until I go to bed hehe And then we live happily for 2010, another year, another start of a new decade

We're just relaxing today as it's Christmas Day, and tomorrow we are off to the Fairfield Halls to see that pantomime! It starts Richard Cadell and Sooty and Sweep themselves haha, Letita Dean, Stephen Dean, Adam Daye and Keavy Lynch. I've never heard of any of them apart from Richard Cadell and the puppets lol, but I'll manage to let you know how it goes as it's a matinee performance Also this might be a bit of an unrelevant thing to say here but like I said on a previous page here we did try and get tickets for the pantomime in Wimbledon, the one of which Brian Blessed stars in this year. Pamela Anderson is supposed to have been in it too but she apparently hasn't shown up for half the performances already so maybe it's a good thing we didn't go lol We saw Brian last year anyway in Croydon, he had me and Mum and my grandparents in stitches then, at least that's something to remember

Well we're still in London, we have the Christmas tree put up here now, it's Mum's birthday today but she's coming up tomorrow, and this may be a bit of an unrelevant thing to say in this thread but I was wondering how much snow any of you have up there? My Nan was working yesterday, she said it only takes her 15 or 20 minutes to get to her workplace from her house but because of all the snow it took her 5 and a half hours on the way back. She apparently didn't get home until a quarter to 12 so I'm glad I went to bed early lol. The footpaths and driveways and most of the roads are almost completely white with snow and ice up here, I very much doubt we'll be going for another walk around the town in a hurry so we'll just be lazing in, and it's 3 more sleeps to go until the big day now and 4 more days until we're going to that panto in Croydon as well!

Re: What Chucklevision Have You Been Watching? « Result #11 on Dec 19, 2009, 2:08pm »
Well I've been getting in the mood for Christmas today by watching 'A Christmas Chuckle', 'Messy Xmas' and 'The Mystery of Little Understanding' . I love all the Christmas specials but I think 'Messy Xmas' is my favourite it's really funny at the end when they can here Santa (aka Jimmy) shouting the reindeer's names and then he shouts 'No slacking' lol .

Mum is wrapping our xmas pressies today, and like I said above, I'm scooting off to London with my Nan today Should be pretty good Shame we didn't have any proper Christmas parties, as the ones we had a few years ago were really good. Still, the bowling party was I suppose better than nothing as we do have a busy schedule this Christmas. Hope your parties go okay, Shaun Also what is everyone doing for New Year? I think Mum normally goes to bed before 12 but I try my best to stay up late most of the time even though I just do absolutely nothing and I'm tired so as soon as the fireworks and the noisy kids in or road stop I'm asleep in bed lol
EDIT: Well Mum has now finished wrapping the pressies lol, we have to take them back to my Nan's this afternoon

Yes I noticed that as well. The young lads did do very well in the parts, but it just didn't feel like Chucklevision for me really as I was also expecting Paul and Barry to play their younger selves, which they have done in previous episodes.

Yeah, today's episode was certainly "different". I was expecting Paul and Barry to play their younger selves. The young lads casted still did quite well in the parts. Biggest quibble for me was that the flashback was supposed to be the 1950's - yet there were a lot of modern cars and clothing in plain view! 7/10

Yes some more cards and pressies have arrived for us, not sure when they're being wrapped but my Nan is coming down today from London and is spending tonight here and then I'm going back to London with her tomorrow, and on Sunday my auntie and her partner and their two littlies will be coming, and finally Mum is coming up on Wednesday next week as I think she'll be busy on Monday and Tuesday, then we'll all be spending Christmas together Then we're seeing that Croydon pantomime on Boxing Day.....and that will conclude our 2009 Christmas lol

Cops and Jobbers - Clever storyline, although it felt more drama orientated than comedy. Could have done with a few more jokes. Interesting to hear Simon Harvey (Robespierre) without a French accent though! 6.5/10
Dishing Up Trouble - This was much better, but then No Slacking episodes are usually great! Certainly one of the best since I Scream Men and easily my favourite so far this series - too many funny moments to list. 10/10
Looks like we won't be seeing the Chuck-mobile this series. Shame really, as they could have used it at the start of today's episode. And when was the last time Dan the Van got a mention? Seems like ages.

Cops and Jobbers [Paul and Barry are stuck in the manhole] Barry: Next time we get a job, can we make it a bit less smelly? Paul: Phwoar......we certainly can!
another one: Barry: Hey, hang on, I think I've found it! Paul: Ooh, give it here then! *pause* That...is NOT the memory stick! Barry: Oh dear, oh dear. You'd better wash your hands before dinner!

I've just watched Dishing Up Trouble on BBC One - probably one of their funniest episodes yet, well done lads I have also just watched Cops and Jobbers, the ending was the funniest bit if it sounded like it was a bit disgusting

Messy Xmas *Barry comes with a spare beard* Barry: Do you know, I never knew it was a false beard *pulls on Santa's (Jimmy) beard* Santa: Aaaaaaaah! It isn't! This one's real
(another one) *Paul is painting toys and has made the noses all messy* Barry: They're a mess! Have you ever seen a nose like that? Paul: Yes *paint's Barry's nose*

Top of the Cops - Expected this one be good, and it didn't disappoint. Loved the bits that poked fun at the fact Community Support Officers can't really do much except call the real Police! It's also worth noting there've been some well chosen, enthusiastic guest-stars so far this series. Stephen Bent got several laughs from me with his over-the-top performance as the Police Chief. 7.5/10
In a State Agents - Really good, fast-paced episode. Not that it bothered me but the storyline was slightly reminiscent of Bedlam and Breakfast (which Rory Clarke also wrote, funnily enough! ). I recognised today's guest Mark Perry from Dead Ringers - another of my favourite comedies. 8/10
Re: Series 21 Discussion « Result #29 on Dec 15, 2009, 11:20am »
Well I've just watched the next 2 episodes in this series, 'Top of the Cops' is another good episode and 'In A State Agents' was ok though I didn't think it was as good as the other 2 tbh. Only 3 more episodes left and then that could be it for this series unless there are more episodes to be shown next year.
