Well, just got back from Southsea, and like last year, I've had the time of my life. My Grandad had come out of hospital the day before and both my grandparents were now certain he would be OK with his illness so Mum and me headed back down here to Portsmouth. When we got to the theatre I ran round the back to the stage door while Mum went in the theatre to rebook our tickets (as we left our old tickets here when we went up to London) and give them another "birthday request" of mine, but when I got to the stage door there were two theatre people on the porch standing guard outside, I asked them if I could come in and see the lads but they said I couldn't as they were busy getting ready for the show, so I just went back and joined Mum in the theatre, and we went and took our seats, and then the show came and it went, it was sooooooo brilliant I loved it so much and I hardly wanted it to end. Both me and Mum got a good soaking off the water guns, (but especially me as I was standing up to try and get their attention lol ). I also caught a packet of buttons when they did the shopping song which I was over the moon about, I let out a good shriek when I caught them, and when they read my name out on stage again I let out this small whooping noise and they heard me and they also said hello to me from the stage using my name so I had quite a bit of the theatre staring at me for a bit lol, (I done that in Bournemouth as well, I think I made Mum jump both times hehe ). Anyway when the show finished they were doing a signing again so we went round the back to the stage door and there was a huge queue winding all the way to the back of the theatre, it drizzled a bit when we were standing in the queue so it was a bit cold but Paul and Barry still came out and they didn't take too long to come out this time. I got chatting to another person in the queue, but then, that while later, the chuckles came out. The Patton Brothers came out with them as well, Mum shouted at Jimmy "No Slacking!", like when she did in Bournemouth, this time Jimmy shouted it back, I shouted at him "Get Out Of It!" as well, Jimmy said Brian was about to come out of the stage door but I was then so focused on Paul and Barry signing autographs I didn't so much as give them a second glance after that lol, I didn't even notice Brian Patton coming out of the stage door lol, I saw Paul's son Nick though I think, but he got in and out of the motorhome and I think started packing the merchandise away, and when we were in the queue Mum got two snaps of the Patton Brothers signing autographs but I still didn't notice them lol. Also when they all came out I think the chuckles came out first and Paul immediately started heading towards the motorhome, as soon as I saw him he saw me and blew a kiss at me but I had already started automatically moving towards him and putting my arms round him lol, then when I eventually let him go Mum got a snap of us two just standing there lol but then we eventually got back in the queue and then I hugged Barry when it was my turn to say hello to him and get a couple of things I'd picked up signed, Barry told me that I ought to come on stage with them and do the show with them as him and Mum said I probably knew it off by heart by now even though I truthfully said I'd only seen it twice lol . Then I had a snap taken with him, and then we went on to see Paul as he was leaning out of the caravan window again signing people's things, as we approached him he called me gorgeous for the third time in my history of meeting them lol, and then I made a quick joke with Paul and then I had a snap taken with him as well, great fun all round as usual, so it turned about to be another doubtlessly fantastic day, can't wait for A Christmas Chuckle now

Nope, just photographs, programmes, teddy bears, keyrings, posters etc, all the usual things they sell . Also I told Paul to come to me when I was having my snap done with him so our heads look like they're touching, I like that I would give anything to see the show again to be honest. Safire were fantastic as always, and I told Mum when their puppets came on I couldn't get enough of them, I suppose that's true, I'm so looking forward to watching them all in A Christmas Chuckle. 6 more months to go.

Great to hear the show went well, Charlotte. Was this your second time seeing it? I wouldn't mind getting to another performance myself actually, but there's not much chance now. Lovely set of photos as well. I've rotated them for you - hope you don't mind!

Thanks for the kind words Chris yeah it was my second time seeing it, great shame it's not coming out on DVD, and thanks for rotating those pictures as well I would feel well happy if Safire managed to upload the puppets from Chuckle Trek as a YouTube video, the puppets from the show are most probably the best I've seen yet, following their second routine of magic they did in the second half of the show :)When they were doing that trick when they change places with Paul and Barry in those cloak things they wear in the second half, I said to Mum twice or three times " how are they doing that???" lol they must get loads and loads and loads and loads of practice. Quite impressed now with the way the chuckles came out on stage as well, when they suddenly flashed up inside that big space container thingy is very clever - no wonder it's called Materalisation therefore haha

Good for you, shaun -- enjoy the show in the three more locations you're going to see them lol Also can I just add that I noticed a small change in the prologue bit of the show, where Jimmy is speaking in the background, right before that Star Trek theme starts. When I saw it in Bournemouth there were lights whirling round the theatre and in Southsea there weren't any. Ah well, maybe it's just because Bournemouth was an earlier date. But also like I said, I would give anything to see the show again, maybe we'll get to see A Christmas Chuckle more than once, it's a shame they don't come down South much but there is already a pantomime going on in Southsea, but I can see why they can't come down anyway, as they probably like to be close to home at Christmas They're doing a great job nevertheless

Think its safe to say you're a bigger fan than I am, Shaun. I'd love to see the show a few more times as well, but couldn't be doing with it three days in a row. I'd need to leave a few months between performances! Probably depends on the theatre as well. Some being bigger than others and better equipped to perform light shows etc.

I'd need to leave a few months between performances! That's the trouble, really: when you enjoy a show so much you would give anything to see it again, but the Chuckles/Pattons are Northern so therefore they obviously like to stay close to home so they don't come down South much; but I agree with you, Chris, no bother. Also with the idea of the lads' version of Star Trekkin' being released on the site, that would be a very good idea; also like I said before, I was singing along that whole time when they sang that because I learnt that song in my junior school. Great add on to a show, really Also I suggested to Mum earlier us going to see Chuckle Trek for a third time but there's not much chance now - Croydon and Southend aren't really much cop for a show we've already seen twice, also the day they're in Croydon is the day of my birthday party, so I can't wait for the pantomime now..
