Yes I wouldn't mind either if it was just a rough copy of A Christmas Chuckle on DVD, I'd love to have it, like Shaun said anything would be better than nothing.

Yeah, especially as Liberation went out of business; like Shaun said somewhere else, it's just their luck the DVD company went bust, and even if someone films it on a good camcorder that'll be better than nothing.

Regarding a DVD, here's an thought: in America, Warner Brothers offers a huge back catalogue of it's older films to order "on demand". Unlike large scale releases with 1000's of copies being made, the films are just burned onto DVD-Rs as and when they're ordered. It costs a little more, takes longer for the DVDs to get to customers, but ultimately I think it's proven popular with those who love tracking down rare movies. www.usatoday.com/life/movies/dvd/2009-03-22-classic-films-on-demand_N.htmSomething similar could be done (on a smaller scale) with the Chuckle live shows and pantos - possibly through the website? Like others have said, I'd gladly pay for a basic recording of Chuckle Trek etc. - no need for flashy packaging or extras.
Yesterday, I went to see A Christmas Chuckle and it certainly was as memorable as others have described. One of the most timeless Christmas stories ever brought to life as only the Chuckles can, with some wonderful songs, dance numbers and magic thrown into the mix. Usually go for balcony seats, but this time, we were sat in row K of the stalls - probably the nearest I've ever been to the stage at one of these shows. Although I prefer to keep out of the way in case of water-pistols/custard pies, I admit it was good be a bit closer to the action. The guys only came out into the audience at the beginning anyway, to do the wedding anniversary mix-up routine. Someone in row B copped it unfortunately. ;D The main element that stood out to me, I'd say, was the songs. I'd never seen any of them done live before, with the exception of old favourite "If I were not a..." near the end. Jimmy turned in a very energetic performance Knees Up Mother Brown along with the other dancers. And perhaps my favourite moment of the evening was Barry singing Two Little Boys along with "Tiny Tim". Quite touching and demonstrates what a great voice he's got. That about covers everything I think. Oh, they didn't mention anything about Richard at this performance either... But a fantastic show, all in all. Will strongly consider going to next year's panto now, whatever it might be.

I'm glad you enjoyed it, Chris. My favourite bit simply had to be Barry singing Two Little Boys with that puppet. That Rolf Harris version of the song is on my YouTube favourites now haha. It was probably the most touching scene in the show but i did overall simply throroughly adore it *starts singing to self* "Did you think I would leave you crying when there's room on my horse for two...." ;D I did love Barry's singing voice. Probably that bit better than Rolf Harris's.

I think it would be a good idea for them to do something like this through the website, it would save them the cost of mass producing the DVDs but would mean that fans would still get to own a copy on DVD if they wanted, as I'm sure many of us on here would want to, it could be quite a successful way of releasing the DVDs.

I was thinking maybe if a DVD is made it will perhaps be filmed in Scarborough or Blackpool again? They're in Scarborough today and Blackpool on the 22nd.

Well today's their last day! They do deserve a nice break for Christmas before they start rehearsing for An Audience with the Chuckle Brothers next year - if, of course, they do need to rehearse for it lol

Well...it's all over now. Sadly, I didn't get to see it, and I really doubt a DVD will be made, I'd love for one to be, but I think we would know about it by now if it was
