I went to see a pantomime last night in Southsea, and when I picked up a chuckle trek flyer for next year it had info about this 2009 pantomime as well.
It says: In an adaptation of Charles Doughnut's "A Christmas Chuckle" Paul and Barry (The Chuckle Brothers) go on a fantasy adventure meeting characters and ghosts from a different time!
The year is eighteen hundred and frozen to a hecky thump! Or is it?
The miserable miser Ebenezer Sneezer isn't looking forward to Christmas! He never does!! In fact the only thing he does like at this time of year is humbugs! You can often hear him shouting "Humbugs" as he goes in search for them.
However what he doesn't know is that he's about to get a visit from some ghosts as they try to show him the error of his ways, and teach him that Christmas is a very special time. They arrive just before Christmas Eve to hear him shouting at the butcher "Turkey's aren't just for Christmas" And then to the corner toy shop "Put your prices up!" He's never had a charitable thought in his life.
But he's about to go on a journey of redemption!
It had some more dates as well: NOVEMBER: Sat 21st: Halifax Victoria Theatre Sun 22nd: Sheffield Lyceum Theatre Thu 26th: Doncaster Dome Fri 27th: Nottingham Royal Centre Sat 28th: Ipswich Regent Theatre Sun 29th: Bristol Hippodrome
DECEMBER: Tue 1st: York Grand Opera House Wed 2nd: Birmingham Alexandra Theatre Thu 3rd: Manchester Palace Teatre Fri 4th: Skegness Embassy Theatre Sat 5th: Newcastle Journal Tyne Theatre Sun 6th: Southport Theatre Sat 12th: Leicester De Montford Hall.
"More venues to be announced shortly"
I could make the Bristol one of I fancy going...

Wow - nice find, Iluvthechucklebros! Surprised they've got a flyer out this early.
Good to hear they're doing Sheffield and Nottingham this time. I might be able to get to one of those.

Don't worry, Rach, they did say there were more venues to be announced soon so they might come to Wales like they did with the last touring pantomime besides, there's always chucle trek to look forward to. Anyway, I know it's a bit early to book the tickets, but my mum says she'll book two Bristol ones for me and her today. The earlier the better really
