we love goin to see the chuckles at xmas , i was a bit gutted last year as they were too far away to go and see them but this year itll be great , roll on christmas chuckle , i hope they have a few more new items to buy . what they should do is do a rough copys of chuckle trek and sell them themselves at the theatres , that would be a good thing then they wouldnt have to pay for filming and production of the dvds , what do you lot think about that idea.

That would be pretty good I suppose, but I also suppose it would be better if it was actuallt filmed because I'm guessing the DVDs are all better that way :-\ I love going to see the chuckle brothers wherever they are, I do love it at Christmas though, partly because it's such a happy time and stuff We travelled miles up north to King's Lynn on the 6th of December in 2007 it was well worth it as that was the first time I met them and my Mum had arranged it all for me but I think it's better when they're down South and we just have to travel 10 minutes in a taxi or 2 to 3 hours on a train, it saves time and money that way. Therefore like I said before Mum suggested us making another trip up to Norfolk this year but I turned it down as I thought myself that it would be wasting money as the trip to Bristol is gonna cost a lot as it is. Also I wouldn't mind getting my hands on a chance to say hello to Jimmy and Brian and Safire and maybe get my hands on one of their autographs for once, it would be exciting to meet someone else who is still associated with Paul and Barry.

i was quite dissapointed with the new newsletter to be honest, all it just has is the complete A Christmas Chuckle tour list and it just says about the in trouble dvd (which i thought the chuckles were against) where as the last one told us about A Christmas Chuckle for the first time which got us all excited and abo th doing the Southend xmas lights. they could have given us an update about the biography or anything else...

Well they'll probably give us info on the book on the official site sometime. Also I know I said I wouldn't be bothered if the panto locations are too far away because I know Bristol isn't that far, but I do wish they would come to Southsea for once, as they've never done one there as far as I'm aware of. It's understandable that Paul and Barry like to be near home for Christmas but it would be nice to just jump in a cab and travel down the Kings Theatre to see it, it saves money that way, but never mind

Yes I was surprised that they chose to advertise the In Trouble DVD as well because I also thought they were against it because they didn't get any money for it. I was disappointed about there not being any news about the book but I suppose if the publishers haven't told them anything yet then there isn't much they can do, and they probably just decided to get the newsletter out rather than wait ages for news on the book in case it takes a few more months.

That's a bit surprising, then, that they decided to advertise the Live and In Trouble DVD seeing as they were against it, but we should have some more info on the book soon as we've been waiting years for it practically lol

unless they have recorded it again and updated it ,so people will buy there new version instead of the old version with no laughter in the background .

I read a few days ago that the Live and In Trouble current version was actually a rehearsal version.

Yes I heard about that as well, it explains why you can't hear any audience on the DVD. It's a shame, I think its better when you can hear the audience laughing etc like on the other DVDs.

Well I've just changed my mind again about that King's Lynn thing lol we've booked the tickets now -- third row from the front seats 1 and 2, should be very good indeed to pay a little visit back there for once

hey, im just thinking, you know that the chuckles do shows that are related to films that are out at the same time at the cinema eg. Indiana Chuckles 2008 - Indiana Jones 4, Chuckle Trek 2009 - the new Star Trek film etc.. do you think the Chuckles decided to do A Christmas Chuckle because of the new Disney A Christmas Carol fillm with Jim Carrey because that is out this christmas!

Yes that might be why they are doing it actually, I hadn't thought of that. It would make sense because they do usually base their shows on films that are coming out at the time.

Yes I hadn't thought of that either, that's a good point actually, so for their tour next year they might base it on a film that's due out next year, which could be something like what No Slacking mentioned in the Ideas for future stage shows thread
