I saw the show at Leicester on Sunday and it was absolutely fantastic! I won't say too much as I know a lot of you haven't been to see it yet but I will say it's definitely worth seeing, absolutely hilarious! I bought quite a bit of merchandise for my collection and afterwards got it all signed by Paul and Barry. They were really nice as usual, I asked about the books and they said they will probably be released to celebrate their 50 years in showbiz, also series 3 will hopefully be out later this year. I also met the Patton brothers, they were at the stage door signing stuff and taking photos with people. They are both really lovely as well, and I was really pleased I met them as I haven't met them before. It's hard to believe Jimmy is already in his 80s and Brian will be 80 later this year, they are just as energetic in the show as they have always been.

That sounds great tometoyou92. Really glad you enjoyed it. It's a real shame I missed it as it sounds even better than I had hoped and nice to hear Paul and Barry were signing again as I would have brought my boxsets and VHS along for them to sign. Even luckier to got to meet Jimmy and Brian. Never been around by the stage door and could have met them twice if i'd known where they were. Really Really want to meet them too! Ah well there is always next year and great news about Series 3 and the books as well, nice to know they should all be out this year.

Yeah, good to hear that Series 3 will be out this year, I'll take my Series 1 and 2 boxsets with me to get signed on Friday if I remember, and I wouldn't mind meeting Jimmy and Brian too, I could maybe say hello to them at the stage door in Crawley if I remember, and if we have enough time

Well we've just got back, it was one great show as per usual; even though most of it was made up of past live show sketches, it was good to see them again, and it was also quite good to see some of the props they used in some past tours as well. I'm not going to say too much as it will spoil it for those of you who haven't seen it yet, but all in all it was a great show, and I think the second half was quite unique with the four kids from the audience participating and the whole cast dancing to a pop song instead of one of the usual ones from the To You, To Me album. Anyway, at the end I went to get their autograph again, they had a good chat to me and Mum whilst they were signing my things (I picked up some of the new merchandise from the stands before the show too) and had a photo taken with them both at once for a change this time lol, so if I can figure out how to do it I'll put it on here for you to have a look at, or email it to rapiid for him to put it on here, and can't wait to see it all again in Southend now

Nice to know you had a great time down there Charlotte. Paul & Barry and Jimmy & Brian getting great praise for their performances as usual which is great to know. I've seen a sequel to one of their shows (POTRR2) and I hope they do a few more in the future so I can see them, but would be nice to see some more original ideas as well. Would be great to see pictures if you could post them.

This is the shot of me with the boys taken yesterday: I recorded me seeing them on my phone camcorder as well, so I won't forget all of what they were saying to me for a change lol Also, for anyone who's on Facebook and has Jimmy Patton as a friend, he said that Shane Richie from EastEnders was the show yesterday with his kids, and also came with Phil Dale because apparently he's his agent as well as Barry and Paul's. It was amazing to read that, I never noticed him but then again it was packed in the theatre last night lol

Great photo Charlotte. And nice to hear that Shane Richie is a fan. Did you get to meet the Patton brothers at the stage door?

Nice photo Charlotte! Another one to add to the collection and a video as well. Really interesting to hear about Shane Richie (Alfie Moon) being there and being a fan. He's a great character in EastEnders and it would have been doubally great to meet him as well! I've got Jimmy on Facebook, so will have to see whether he says anything about him!

Just dropping by to say it's grand to see the forum a little more active than usual this last week, evidently because of people seeing the live show. I expect things will quiet down again soon enough though. tometoyou92 and Charlotte - lovely to hear you both enjoyed Phantom as much as (perhaps more than) I did. Thanks for taking the time to write up those reviews. Always a delight to read how the show went down with someone else Found this video of the lads doing a "To Me, To You" exchange with a fan after a recent performance, which was very good of them: I'm not going to link directly to it, but for anyone curious about the ending dance number, there is a short clip of it on the same YT channel.

Thanks for posting the link No Slacking. as you say it was very nice of Paul and Barry to do 'To Me, To You' for a fan. It always amazes me how much time they are willing to give for their fans. After the show at Leicester, loads of people queued up for the signing and it took over 2 hours for them to get through everyone. The theatre staff were trying to rush people through but Paul and Barry were happy to talk to people and take as many photos as they wanted. Me and my sister were near to the end of the queue and we had to take the photo twice as put her finger over the camera lens, also we had a lot of stuff so I said they didn't have to sign everything if they wanted to speed things up but Paul said they didn't mind signing it all. They even signed each individual cover in my series 1 and 2 DVD set when they could have just signed the box. We were with them for about 5 mins in total and they answered our questions about the books and series 3 and shook hands with both of us when we were leaving. Also, we saw Barry taking time to chat to a little girl who went up to him to tell him about her friend's birthday party the day before which was very sweet of him lol. Doing the show must be very tiring and it would be easy for them to just leave the theatre afterwards. The Patton brothers were great also, we had quite a long chat with them as well as a photo and they signed our tour program. Jimmy even thanked us for taking the time to pop round and see him and Brian.

Those clips Chris posted are from the show in Crawley - and when they were signing after the show again there I wanted to be last in the queue again lol so it could be all the more exciting for me like I said on another thread haha No, unfortunately we had to head straight home after the signings from Barry and Paul because it was a freezing cold night and so we didn't want to miss a train back home lol, but I said to them on Facebook that maybe I'll be able to meet them after the show in Southend

They even signed each individual cover in my series 1 and 2 DVD set when they could have just signed the box. We were with them for about 5 mins in total and they answered our questions about the books and series 3 and shook hands with both of us when we were leaving. Yeah I've had that before. We didn't take very long with them as I forgot to bring my stuff last time and I couldn't exactly open my mouth and speak to them, but it is getting easier every time. When they had finished with us we hung around for a minute and we tried to take a few extra pictures from the side, but the man stopped us and ushered us out. I know it's his job, but he should've known that some people were meeting their biggest heroes, maybe for the first time and the shock isn't exactly the easiest thing to get over. But that's why I love them because they take pride in their fans and are in no rush for swing them off quickly, especially at their age. First time I met them Paul shook my hand and said "Thanks for coming!" and my dad also added that "He's your biggest fan." and Paul tricks me with the hand/nose trick, but I will never forget any of that. The first time I only talked to Paul and the second time I was on Barry's side. But next time I would like to talk to both of them. I really hope to meet them next year so I can get my boxsets signed and VHS sleeve hopefully. Would also like to get the courage to ask them some questions if nothing about the DVD's, books or new series of Chucklevision has surfaced by then. That is a really nice thing to do. At least she had more courage than me going up to him and just having a talk with him. But just shows again how caring they are to fans young and old. What I will try to do next year is meet Jimmy and Brian as I would really really like to meet them as well. Just have to find out where the stage door is in Leicester. They also sound very polite and it would be an honour as it as been with Paul and Barry the last two times I have met them. Found this video of the lads doing a "To Me, To You" exchange with a fan after a recent performance, which was very good of them: Thanks for the clip No Slacking. Really nice to see them performing the classic rountine for an adult fan. It's really nice to see how much time they would devote to fans for simple requests like that!
